I was born and raised in southern New Jersey. I spent most of childhood swimming, fishing, and boating in the Atlantic Ocean. In high school, I played field hockey and spent a great deal of time at the library. I was also active in Key Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Council for Exceptional Children. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher!
After high school, I moved to Maine. While attending the University of Maine, I worked as a nanny and then a caregiver at group home for adults with disabilities. I was the first person in my family to graduate from college. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Special Education. I enjoy participating in teacher workshops, trainings, and online classes. I am certified to teach Special Education and General Education in Michigan.
