I was born and raised in southern New Jersey. I spent most of childhood on the beach or out on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean. I also enjoyed playing field hockey and reading books. In high-school, I volunteered in a preschool classroom and decided that I wanted to be a teacher!
After graduation, I moved to Maine and was a nanny for a family with three young children while I attended the University of Maine. I was the first person in my family to attend college. I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Special Education in 2000. I continue to take courses and participate in as much professional development as possible. My goal is to achieve a master's degree and additional certification in special education in the areas of emotional impairments and learning disabilities.

Family Life My husband, daughters, and I moved to the Upper Peninsula in July 2017. We love our new life here and enjoy spending time together hiking, kayaking, and camping. We also like to visit our family and friends in New Jersey and Maine so we spend a lot of time on the road. When we want to relax we read, play board games, and cook together. We have a pet bearded dragon named Ferrari. In addition, I am a huge Boston Bruins hockey fan!
